About The Tank

This is a Hub aims to bring entrepreneurial resources together for innovation and sustainability. The Hub explores the idea of entrepreneurship, social impact and innovation through creating an environment in which students can develop local/national/international ventures. The Hub takes students and industry partners through a step-by-step process from idea generation to creating a business model and eventually a venture creation.
The Hub develops a robust foundation of entrepreneurship theory on which students can establish and survives their ventures. Students will practice contemporary techniques and tools such as future-based innovation, story-telling and customer journey mapping. Business finance, intellectual property rights, marketing and sales also be briefly introduced.
Think Global Act Local
This entrepreneurial initiative offers a global experience by engaging with students from different universities worldwide. Students evaluate market opportunities in the other parts of the world; test innovative ideas in different markets across the globe; evaluate business models and case studies from other countries and apply learning to their local venture.
Educating About & For & Through Entrepreneurship
Teaching “about” entrepreneurship means a content-laden and theoretical approach aiming to give a general understanding of the phenomenon. Teaching “for” entrepreneurship means an occupationally oriented approach aiming at giving budding entrepreneurs the requisite knowledge and skills. Teaching “through” means a process based and often experiential approach where students go through an actual entrepreneurial learning process. The module enables students to experience about & for & through model.
Format
Working in teams or individually. Develop a business idea step by step. The business ideas should be profitable, feasible, creative, innovative, original, authentic and sustainable. The business should have a purpose of creating positive social impact and methods to measure it. Matching business ideas with potential investors and finding international business partners.
The Reason
The Hub enables students for a hands-on practical introduction to entrepreneurship which enables students to develop a range of transferable skills and the capacity to pursue a self-employment career option. The Hub creates platforms for students, potential business partners and investors to communicate business ideas, investment plans and future partnership. The hub offers a wide range of resources for skills and knowledge improvement.

This is really important, not just because you have to often pitch in a startup but also because it’s an important skill for everyday life.
